Job description: Duties * Assist the Executive Assistant
  • Sorting mail and gifts
  • Drafting thank you letters for gifts (template provided)
  • Backing up the EA with processing executive letters when needed
  • Set up lunches with guests
  • Scanning print articles or documents to be saved
  • Learning all EA tasks as a back-up
  • Assist with various office duties when needed as a backup to the EA
  • Typing letters and emails
  • Answering and making phone calls, responding to texts
  • Assist the Radio Department with various projects
  • Separate radio programs saved in one large document into individual program transcripts
  • Rename audio files
  • Assist with phone/video interviews
  • Back up the EA with helping during phone and video interviews
  • Back up the Radio team with helping during radio interviews when needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs
  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
  • Three years minimum experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • 50 words per minute typing speed with accuracy
  • Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines are necessary
  • Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, a team player and self-starter who is flexible and able to work independently
  • Must have a strong sense of confidentiality
  • Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and the Internet
  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable
Compensation is $19.00-$21.00 per hour
Part-Time position working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10:00-4:30 (possibly 5:00 PM)

Continuous Growth – Besides Lead Like Jesus and Beyond Suffering trainings, continue to develop in the realm of disability ministry

Culture of Belonging Approach – Encourage a culture of belonging ensuring that the needs of the disability community are addressed with grace and understanding

Integration of Faith and Work – Ensure that Christian values are a driving force in all aspects of work
